FGC Flag Football Set to Open Season in Pursuit of Third National Title
LAKE CITY, Fla. – The Timberwolves of Florida Gateway College Women's Flag Football will officially kick off the 2025 Season with a home doubleheader on Saturday, March 1.
FGC will face off with the Pasco-Hernando State College Bobcats in a conference match-up starting at 12 p.m. Then, at 3 p.m., the Wolves take on the Skyhawks of Point University.
The opening games mark the start of just the third season in the program's history. In its first two years of operation, FGC Flag Football became two-time NJCAA National Champions, winning the national title in both 2023's inaugural tournament and again in 2024. With a healthy mix of returning championship-team players and freshman newcomers, the team is poised to take the title once again under the leadership of Head Coach Ricky Hufty.
